Francisco (Cisco Disco)

Please meet Francisco also known as @ciscodiscoreyes, the frontman and recognizable face of Bikes N Shocks in the BMX, MTB, and Road community.

Francisco is a Professional Commercial Pilot and Bicycle Mechanic accredited by SRAM Technical University & Specialized Bicycles Components University & The Bicycle Mechanics Training Institute.

Francisco had a career as a Commercial Pilot before becoming a family man, after being away constantly and unable to spend time with his family and unable to ride his bike, his own passion for bikes led him to open his own Bike Shop in Colombia and he left his Aviation career behind before coming to Au.

Francisco’s mission is to complete a holistic assessment of the bike while providing solutions that meet the rider’s needs according to the intended use of the bike.

Francisco counts with over 23 years of experience in the Bicycle Industry and used to have his own bike shop in Colombia before moving to Australia in 2008. Since he has worked in 2 prestigious Bicycle Shops in Sydney where he performed all his mechanical and technical skills and got a great insight into Sydney's and Australia's Cyclist and Cycling needs.

In his Early days, Cisco was a BMX (Dirt Jumper), and then he transferred his skills to MTB (Down Hill) Event where he competed in State and National Championships in Colombia. His best achievement was 3rd place in the Red Bull Empire Rider in Mamancana-Colombia, racing together with big Colombian figures.

In Australia, Francisco has competed in Dirt Jumping events at Stromlo Forest Park, Mount Panorama, and in the outstanding Cameron's White Hillside Dirt Jump in Canberra. Also racing Down Hill and Enduro at Ourimbah, DelRio, Awaba, Thredbo, and Derby. Some of his favorite tricks are (Nothing, Tail-whip, Backflip, Superman, Toboggan, Cannonball, and Can-Can).

Francisco is located at Brookvale NSW but he welcomes everyone from Sydney Metro & Australia!

Vanessa (Ness)

Vanessa has done sports since the age of 5, she was a national champion in Taekwondo at the age of 13 and has been riding and competing in MTB Down Hill and BMX since the age of 15. Now she has about 16 years of experience in the MTB industry and holds a Degree in Sports Science from St Thomas University and currently is doing a degree in Business Administration at Macquarie University in order to manage their business idea (Bikes N Shocks).

Her main role will be accounts and administration support as well as customer service and business growth.

Vanessa has designed a thirty-three-page Business Plan taking into account a situational analysis of external and internal environments of the cycling business context.

By offering exclusive and tailored services and products, she has developed a strategy to allow Bikes N Shocks to have a great entrance in 2020 and gain a successful market and provide solutions to bicycle riders’ needs.
